Fool Beth once, shame on you. Fool Beth twice and she’s probably going to put a cigarette out on your snarky face. That’s how she’s handling her sobriety these days, so watch out. In an exclusive clip from the upcoming episode of Yellowstone entitled “The Reek of Desperation,” Beth holds no prisoners as Jamie walks into her office. From the looks of things, Jamie has discovered that he’s not running unopposed for attorney general, and no one is more delighted by that than Beth.
With a hairdo full of crazy and a pack of cigs to burn, Beth delights in her brother’s discovery of his competition—a woman named Cassidy from East Montana who once graced the cover of Champion Rider. (This is not a qualification for attorney general but more of a fun fact!) But it seems that Beth isn’t the only one with an announcement. As Jamie enters, he makes the disclaimer that he wants Beth to remember that “they are family.” As Jamie enters deeper into the attorney general race, he learns quickly that making his way to the top isn’t as squeaky clean as he hoped it would be. Then again, he’s a Dutton and considering how Duttons usually handle things (killing people, burning shit down, pills), he shouldn’t be surprised.
Even though Jamie might have a bomb to drop on his sister, it’s almost certain that the “reek of desperation” is certainly coming off of Jamie’s newly greased hair. Woo boy, this family. The big announcement (and the lingering question of who Kelly Reilly gets to yell at this episode) will be revealed when Yellowstone returns from its weeklong hiatus this Wednesday.
