Naperville Police are looking for a man suspected of attempting to abduct a child late Friday at Rotary Park, according to a release.
The suspect is described as a clean-shaven man in his 20s, with blond hair and a thin build, a release said. The man was wearing a white T-shirt and gray shorts, the release said.
At approximately 12:05 a.m. Saturday, police responded for a report of an attempted child abduction at Rotary Hill, 437 Aurora Ave., Naperville, that occurred at about 11 p.m. Friday, the release said.
The child’s mother told police that she and her son had attended a Rotary Hill function in the park and were sitting in her parked car when the man approached her vehicle, opened the rear car door and attempted to pull the child out, a release said. After failing to remove the child from the vehicle, the man fled on foot, northbound from the scene, police said. The mother and her child were not injured during this incident.
