Army Corps of Engineers working to convert McCormick Place into a 3,000-bed coronavirus hospital by April 24

The Army Corps of Engineers is working to convert Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center into a makeshift hospital capable of treating up to approximately 3,000 coronavirus patients by the end of next month, Army Lt. Gen. Todd Semonite said Friday.
